ST. MARGARET’S BAY
About the Vessel
The Four Winds I is an authentic Nova Scotia Cape Island Boat. Built in Clarks Harbour Nova Scotia specifically for Kenny Merlin’s water tours. She is constructed of fiberglass, is forty-five feet in length and has a beam of sixteen feet. Her spacious decks provide comfortable seating for thirty-eight passengers around the perimeter of both decks. Center deck space is open to provide an area for buffets, presentations or dancing. The upper deck provides a vantage point to enjoy the sun and scenery of Nova Scotia’s beautiful coastline.
The Vessel is Transport Canada Approved for safety. Our spacious clean facilities include stereo CD, cassette, and Sirius radio system, intercom, telephone, state of the art navigational equipment, with a clean modern washroom and heated wheelhouse.
Tours depart from Shining Waters Marine located at 148 Nautical Way Tantallon, NS. (On route 333, a.k.a. the Peggy cove road). The facilities include a full service dinning room, and Subway Restaurant, Sea kayak rentals and Deep Sea fishing excursions all in a picturesque marina setting. Arrangements can also be made for departures from your private deep-water wharf.
Food and Beverage service is available upon request at reasonable rates; we can provide a selection of items from light lunches and finger foods on board the vessel to luncheons and dinners in the dinning room overlooking the Bay. Scenic Water Tours
$25.00 per adult, $20.00 per child (6 to 12 yr.) under six free.
A Two-hour cruise of the coves. Nestled between Peggys Cove and the Aspotogan Peninsula, St. Margaret’s Bay provides pristine natural beauty just 30 minutes from Halifax. Enjoy cruising among the scenic coves, estate properties, private islands and beautiful beaches. View the natural habitat of eagles and herons while watching for dolphins, seals, and sea birds. Every trip provides stunning ocean views in a relaxed informative atmosphere.
Nature Cruise / Whale Watching
$ 30.00 per adult, $20.00 per child
A three-hour cruise along the scenic shoreline near Peggys Cove. Clean ocean breezes and magnificent sea life is the perfect combination for a great day out on the ocean. View working wharves, fishing traps of local fishermen, and rugged island geography. It is in these area’s guest will have the greater possibility of seeing white-sided dolphins, porpoise and seals as well as minke, finback and pilot whales. Other marine mammals that have been seen include Humpback whales and Leatherback Turtles. We guarantee ample amounts of fresh sea air along with beautiful scenery.
Private Charter
$300.00 per hour. Maximum 38 guests
Office Parties, Birthdays, Weddings, Family Reunions, Graduations, Beach Parties, or just about any reason to get together and have fun. Cruise St. Margaret’s Bay with your choice of destinations. The picturesque area’s of Schooner Cove, The rugged coastline of Peggys Cove, or the calm waters of Hubbards Cove and hidden castle of Northwest Cove.

Lobster Supper And Cruise
$65.00 per person. Minimum 15 adults
A two-hour cruise and lobster supper Perfect for office parties and family get-togethers. What could be better than an evening cruise on the bay and a lobster supper? (other meal options for landlubbers) Departs by appointment.
