So far 2012 has begun with a very mild winter for us here on St.Margaret's Bay. The Four Winds is comfortably resting on the flat. Soon we will be preparing her for another faboulous spring on the ocean. This winter has brought so many days with southwest winds and sunshine, one can only hope that the summer to come will be a year to remember. Post Title. 07/12/2011
Finally the days are getting warmer and sea life if starting to reveal itself. Saw giant leather back sea turtles off of southwest island. Young Naturalist Club 06/11/2011

Long Weekend Event 03/20/2011
May Holiday Weekend Yard Sale As part of the ongoing Peggy's Cove Bicentennial celebrations, a 75-km yard sale is in the planning stages: Bay Bounty and Bargains! The yard sale will run from Goodwood to Peggy's Cove, and around the Bay to Hubbards (all participating sites along Route 333 and Highway 3). Join the fun on the holiday weekend, rain or shine: Saturday, May 21,10:00-4:00 and Sunday, May 22, noon-4:00. A committee is arranging sites where vendors can gather to display their wares; the Prospect Road Community Centre has kindly agreed to provide a venue. Homeowners along the Prospect Road and the extended yard sale route who prefer to set up on their own properties or share a site with neighbours are welcome to do so. Balloons will be used to identify the venues. Local organizations, service clubs, churches, schools, youth groups, businesses, homeowners - all are encouraged to take part. The Bay Bounty and Bargains! yard sale will help to celebrate Peggy's Cove Bicentennial; it will also be a celebration of the region, and will provide an opportunity for fundraising within the communities: bake sales, fudge sales, cafe brunches, chowder luncheons, lobster suppers, church teas, hot dog and hamburger concessions, etc. For additional yard sale information, or to serve as volunteer, please contact Nancy Pike at salr@eastlink.ca or shelleygwebb@gmail.com For list of activities for the celebrations please go to www.peggyscove.org Our New Website 02/24/2011
